Your journey begins from Kigali to Akagera with a scenic drive once rich the Akagera National Park the Rwanda’s premier wildlife reserve enjoy the half game drive to Explore its vast savannahs, wetlands, and woodlands, home to a wealth of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and various antelope species. By the end of day enjoy a relaxing and unique perspective of Akagera’s wildlife with a sunset boat cruise on Lake Ihem. As you glide across the tranquil waters, you’ll witness hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the iconic African fish eagle. The serene environment of the lake, combined with abundant wildlife, makes this boat tour a must-do activity for nature lovers and photographers.
Day two: Maximize the animals viewing for those ones missing in day one from south part to the northern part of park, then head back to Kigali for your droop off.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park from Kigali. Travel time +2:30hrs
Today, after your relaxed morning breakfast at your hotel, 9am you will be picked by our safari guide and leave for Akagera national park, the journey to Akagera national park takes about 2.5 with middle way stop over at Imigongo art center for legs stretching, use bathrooms and pick the packed lunch ., . On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation for check inn and prepare for afternoon activities which are half game driver and sunset boat ride ,start with short game driver for first animals viewing and late afternoon enjoy the best sunset boat ride to discover much more with lake ihema, double chance to spot Hippos and crocodiles in the water or by the shores and meet the buffaloes and elephants wallowing by the water banks. Later return to the lodge for dinner and evening stay. Accommodation options: Ruziza Tented Camp (luxury lodge) or Akagera Game Lodge (Mid – range lodge). Meal Plan: Half Board.
Day 2: Full Game drive and Transfer back to Kigali.
After an early morning breakfast at 7:00 am leave hotel for an early morning game drive in Akagera national park to catch up with late hunters and early risers. We will be searching for the big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently the re-introduced Lions and Rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a number bird species with over 500 bird species in the park making it a birding paradise.
Depending on your interests spend 5-6 hours inside the park and explorer much more. Then late afternoon drive back to Kigali and Being in kigali late evening for droop off at the hotel or airport .
