Tour Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National park +/- 6 hours

    Early morning, you meet our tour guide for a short briefing and head to Nyungwe National Park through southern province , in midway, they are 2 stop-over’s for King palace museum and Ethnographic museum and later drive to your  hotel for dinner and overnight stay (3-4 start) hotel.

    Day 2: Transfer to Cyamudongo.

    Early morning enjoy your packaged breakfast , you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before   canopy walk. This 70 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a luck day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 3: Colobus Monkey Trek & Tea Plantation Visit.

    After your morning breakfast, you will head to the park for briefing before you head to search for the colobus monkeys, and on finding them, you will be allowed to take as many pictures as you wish. Return for lunch and after lunch, head for the tea plantation visit, to visit the Gisakura tea gardens, learn on how tea if plated to harvesting time and processing. You will take great photos and later drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 4: Transfer to Gisenyi and hiking to island.

    After a relaxed morning breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Kivu, to catch up with the beautiful sun rise over the Lake Kivu after just getting done with your morning breakfast. You will take a boat ride to explore the beautiful attractions within this great lake. You have a nature walk at one of the islands within this lake which is known for harboring thousands of the bats, this island called Naporeo island like a nickname, they are also others islands to explore such us peace island, monkey island, agriculture island and peace island. This lake is also known as a birding paradise as it host a number of bird species like the cormorants, pied king fishers, weaver birds, heron to mention but a few. After enjoying  boat trip, we will transfer to Gisenyi through Congo Nile Trail for a night stay. 

    Day 5: The visit of ibiwacu culture village and driver back to kigali.

    Morning after breakfast, there is a look around Gisenyi town, visit borders between Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo, then drive back to Kigali, stop-over in Musanze town for lunch and leg stretching, heading to volcanoes national park, visit ibyiwacu culture village and lean more about rwandan culture by exploring the traditional wedding, medicine, dancing,…proceed to the park reception for walking around , take good souvenirs  pictures with it’ unbelievable views then driver back to Kigali for airport drop off or hotel, home stay.
