About Wilderness Bisate Lodge

Wilderness Bisate Lodge is an intimate ultra-luxury safari lodge located beside Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park. Set within a dramatic volcanic landscape, the lodge combines exceptional accommodation with close access to one of Africa's most celebrated mountain gorilla trekking destinations.

Bisate features only six individually positioned forest villas. Their distinctive rounded architecture draws inspiration from traditional Rwandan royal design, while fireplaces, sophisticated interiors and expansive views create an exceptionally private mountain retreat.

The lodge overlooks parts of the spectacular Virunga volcanic landscape including Mount Bisoke, Karisimbi and Mikeno. Guests can combine their stay with mountain gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking, guided nature walks, birdwatching, conservation activities and local community experiences.

Bisate is especially notable for its conservation philosophy. Its reforestation programme allows guests to participate in indigenous tree planting while learning about restoration of the surrounding ecosystem.

Bisate Lodge Rate Information: Published Bisate rates are generally quoted per person, per night and include accommodation, meals, selected local drinks, laundry, tourism tax and selected lodge-based activities. Gorilla trekking permits, conservation levies, certain park fees, premium wines/champagne, flights and other safari arrangements may be additional.
