A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see mountain gorillas from Denmark
Experience a unique and exclusive wildlife encounter on one of our gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Comprised of a lush blanket of thick, green rainforest and five of the stunning Virunga volcanoes, this spectacular National Park is home to around 480 habituated mountain gorillas, about half the world’s entire population of the critically endangered primate.
Our gorilla trekking safaris to travelers from Denmark are tailored and expertly crafted to make your gorilla trekking safari a truly unforgettable experience. Whatever your preference, talk to one of our specialists who, if they are not in Rwanda or Uganda trekking gorillas themselves, would love to get you to Africa for the adventure of a lifetime.
The conservation of these highly endangered primates is critical, so the park takes certain precautions to guarantee their protection. To ensure as little disruption to the gorillas as possible, viewing times are limited to an hour and only one visit to each gorilla family is allowed per day. Permits are required to visit the park at approx. US$1500 per person per trek and only a limited number are available each day to ensure an exclusive and responsible experience. Although pricey (and non-refundable), it is rewarding to know that the majority of this cost is used in the maintenance of the park and the protection of its wildlife. We include the cost of these permits in the price of our itineraries.
